"Seriously good Japanese food! Hidden gem in Traralgon. Lovely staff as well. A+++"
"Tucked away in Traralgon this is a perfect spot that serves up authentic Japanese food. We had the banquet menu and loved the selection of food prepared by the chef What we ate: Salmon Sashimi Tako Yaki Lotus root chips with miso aioli Kara-age Chicken Tatsuta-age Salmon Eggplant Dengaku Cream Croquettes Yakiniku Mochi Donut (not included in the banquet) Gateau Au chocolat (not included in the banquet) Cant wait to visit again!"
"This was a place for dinner with my supervisor and some workmates recommended by his boss. A real nice and cozy spot with the most kind and attentive staff in the house, we weren't going to be unhappy in that department. They've got a pretty compact menu for a Japanese place and just one sushi option which was odd. 4 people got 3 starters and 3 entrees which I think was an ideal amount. Karage chicken, a beef fry and pork belly fry were the 3 starters. All these 3 were quite exquisite and succulent. The respective meats were cooked perfectly and was hard to pick one. The entrees were an unagi dish, prawn pancake thing and a teriyaki chicken. The unagi wasn't very good with a stale smell coming through which I know doesn't come this strongly in fresh eel. The prawn pancake and the teriyaki chicken were okay, just nothing great compared to the starters. So a brilliant start, okay entree is good I guess for a place like this with no Japanese spots around. Yet for this price tag a more authentic cuisine with more emphasis on sushi would've been appreciated."
"Stopped by here for lunch with the family. Their excellent value lunch sets and authentic Japanese flavours are not to be missed if you happen to pass through the area exploring Gippsland. Sets also come with good choices of drinks not pictured."
"We were passing buy and just took a break in Church street. We saw the open door of "A red dot". Didn't had big expectations, but we were blown off. Very tasty Japanese food. Out of the food we ordered, Chicken Kara Age was on top and salmon teriyaki next in main lunch. Asahi dry zero (non alcohol japanese beverage) was not bad for a person like me who don't have alcohol drinks. I like more spicy food and this place didn't had any spicy selection. Still I was fine with the options we chosen. Green tea was also fine. We also ordered Mochi Donut and Gateau au chocolat.... and the winner within us was....Mochi Donut. No wonder this is popular here. A special mention for the clean toilet with wood seating and reading Japanese books. Over all, we loved this place."
"A little authentic Japanese restaurant hidden away in the foot hills of gippsland. - amazing customer service and warm atmosphere - fairly cheap meals and nice portion sizes - eat some good food without breaking the bank (unless your like me and ordered 4 small entrees and 4 desserts) - presentation is beautiful - taste amazing more details @thegrocerystore2002 on insta"
